ServiceNow Wants Companies to Switch CRM in Just 30 Days

ServiceNow's acquisition of AI startup Sweep could help businesses switch CRM platforms in 30 to 60 days instead of years.

The ServiceNow Sweep acquisition is helping businesses rethink how quickly they can move from one customer relationship management (CRM) platform to another, potentially cutting migration timelines from years to just weeks.

ServiceNow CEO Bill McDermott shared the development during the company’s recent earnings call, saying that large companies could now complete CRM rollouts in around 30 to 60 days with the help of Sweep’s technology. For businesses that depend on complex CRM systems, this could make switching platforms significantly less disruptive.

Why CRM Migration Takes So Long

Moving from one CRM platform to another is rarely a simple data transfer. Large organisations often have years of customer records, customised workflows, integrations and business processes connected to their existing systems.

Rebuilding all of this on a new platform can take months or even years. During that period, businesses risk operational disruptions, higher implementation costs and delays in adopting new technology. ServiceNow believes Sweep can help address this challenge by using AI agents to simplify and accelerate the migration process.

What Does Sweep Actually Do?

Founded in 2021 by Ido Gaver and Eran Kirshenboim, Sweep developed an agentic workspace designed to work across enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Salesforce and HubSpot.

Its technology monitors information across these systems, identifies inconsistencies and bottlenecks, generates documentation and helps teams understand how their software environments are connected. It has also been developing AI capabilities that can recommend or implement changes instead of simply identifying problems.

Sweep had raised $46 million in disclosed funding before its acquisition, including a $22.5 million Series B round led by Insight Partners in 2025. The financial terms of the acquisition have not been officially disclosed.

ServiceNow’s Bigger AI Ambition

The acquisition fits into ServiceNow’s broader push to bring AI agents into enterprise operations. The company wants AI to do more than answer questions or generate content. It wants agents to perform tasks across business systems and help organisations automate complex workflows.

McDermott said Sweep adds expertise in rapid agentic deployments, helping ServiceNow accelerate customer implementations. The company is also using AI implementation agents to handle much of the work involved in deploying its products. If these capabilities deliver the promised results, businesses could spend considerably less time moving between software platforms and more time using them to serve customers.
